Sol's life prior to the Great Collapse was uneventful. A loving family and peaceful days spent attending university where he aspired to be a medic. It was at this time that he became close friends with Cruz, Louis, and his sister Karen. The Great Collapse would see Sol robbed of his family and comfortable daily life at the age of 23. Caught in the calamity, Sol lost his life and was one of the first Revenants to join the front lines. He visited Cruz as often as possible, though infrequent. As she steadily declined from the Q.E.E.N. Project, he could only watch over her helplessly, desperate for a way to aid her. This failure would haunt him for years to come. After the Queen's--Cruz's--frenzy, and Operation Queenslayer was put into action, Sol joined the ranks sent in to subdue her. At the time of her defeat, he once more could only watch on helplessly, torn between joy of her defeat and sorrow over her death. After her defeat, everyone was well aware that she--like all Revenants--would eventually reform. This lead to the seperation of her body in the form of Relics, which would be placed inside the bodies of various Revenants, earning them the title of Successors. One particular Relic had proven to be far more difficult than her other pieces, this being the Queen's Fang. It is theorized that this was due to it housing her thirst.. After her Fang had caused numerous Revenants to frenzy and become Lost, Sol eventually made the decision to house the Relic himself. Though warned against, he told the researchers that his love for Cruz--whom he regarded as a sister--would surely eclipse this pain. Whether or not his ability to house her Fang without frenzying was actually due to his love for her, is a truth he would not learn until much later.Like all Successors, Sol had a particular gift that stemmed from his Relic. Like Eva, he was able to provide small moments of relief to the other Successors by "drinking in" their thirst. Though this would leave him teetering on the edge of a frenzy each time--due to enduring not only his own vicious thirst and pain from his Relic, but another's as well. Like Jack and Eva, Sol does not have a Crypt that houses him.Sol would endure his role for many years, and experience many deaths that would leave his memories in pieces--a common side effect of death and dispersal/reformation for Revenants. Eventually he would meet the Protagonist and Louis in the Cathedral of the Sacred Blood. He had returned knowing that the Keeper of the Ribcage was close if not already in frenzy. Upon seeing her fully calmed form and being informed of their goal, Sol would end up joining them in their mission.A large part of his missing memories would eventually be the reason for his own frenzy, as he could no longer recall Louis, Cruz, and the love he held for them. Moments before losing himself entirely, he begged them to end his life, unaware that he too could be saved via the same method that had restored sanity to the Keeper of the Ribcage. Louis--who still held great regret over not killing Cruz when she begged for it prior to her frenzy--cut him down without hesitation, exposing his Relic. Thanks to the Protagonist collecting his various Vestiges, Sol's memories were fully restored, allowing him to regain full control of his Relic, as well as renewing his hope for the future.Sol would continue to aid them in their mission, eventually bringing them all face to face with Gregorio Silva. After his defeat, Io would take all the Relics of the Queen into herself, becoming a massive Bloodspring tree that produces consistent Blood Beads, as well as maintains the Red Mist, both caging and protecting those inside from the *Horrors. When the Protagonist and various others decide to leave the city--only possible via the Amber Blood Bead given to the Protagonist by Io--Sol leaves with them.
